“You uphold me in my integrity…” Psalm 41:12

TWO PRECIOUS EXPERIENCES

David had two wonderful experiences even as he prayed to God at a critical time.

1. The mercy of the Lord that saw his sins forgiven.

2. The good pleasure of the Lord that saw him overcome his enemies.

ANOTHER WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

A third wonderful experience was noted in the following text.

“As for me, You uphold me in my integrity,
And set me before Your face forever.”
Psalm 41:12

1. “You uphold me in my integrity”

a) God did more than just deliver David

b) He continued to show His favour to David by upholding him.

i) He regained his health.

ii) He triumphed over his enemies.

iii) He continued in his reign as king.

c) David’s part was to make sure that he walked in his integrity.

i) He would continue to walk with God diligently.

ii) He would continue to live out his faith in God.

2. “And set me before Your face forever”

a) An eternal aspect was now put in place.

b) God’s favour was not just with reference to this life on earth.

c) God’s good pleasure would last forever.

d) David would stand justified before the Lord.

e) He would stand before the face of the Lord Himself for all eternity.
