AN APPRECIATION OF THE LORD
Text: Psalm 103

MANY THINGS TO APPRECIATE ABOUT GOD
The Psalmist David went on to write about what he discovered and appreciated about the LORD.
6 The LORD executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8 The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities. Psalm 103:6-10
1. The Justice of God
a) He executes righteousness
b) He gives justice to those who are oppressed
2. The Ways of God
a) They were made known to Moses
b) The acts of God were made known to Israel
3. The Character of God
a) He is merciful
b) He is gracious
c) He is slow to anger
d) He does not deal with us as our sins deserve
e) He does not punish as we deserve
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE TO GOD
Let us be deeply moved and challenged in our hearts:
- To draw closer to God
- To trust Him more
- To bless His name always
