THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD UPON US
Text: Psalm 90

THANK GOD FOR A MEANINGFUL ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Thank God for the celebration of our 40+9 Anniversary at the Shangri La on Sunday, 21 August 2022. It was memorable for a number of reasons:
- Return to Shangri La for our Anniversary event
- Over 800 people were there for worship and lunch
- Pastor Steve Karong was ordained as a minister of the gospel in our IPC Family
COMMENCING OUR 50TH YEAR OF MINISTRY
We commence our 50th year of ministry as a Church. Let us commence this 50th year with the prayer that Moses once offered.
16 Let Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:16-17
- A prayer made to the LORD
a) We commenced the 1st year of ministry with prayer
b) We will commence our 50th year of ministry with prayer too
- Things to pray for:
a) God’s work would be made even clearer to us
i) Let us take nothing for granted
ii) May we discern the Lord’s leading
b) His glory to be manifested
i) There is glory to be found
ii) May that glory be revealed to us
c) His beauty would be upon us
i) Everything about the Lord is truly beautiful
ii) May that beauty be observed and appreciated
d) Our work as a Church would be firmly established
i) Thank God for His blessing of our work
ii) May the Lord establish our works!
HUMILITY AND CONFIDENCE
Let us pray with genuine humility. But let us also have confidence that the Lord would hear our prayers! May the Lord greatly bless the 50th year of ministry!
