GOD KNOWS OUR FRAME
Text: Psalm 103

HUMAN MORTALITY
Amidst illnesses and death, we are reminded of our human mortality. It is good to know that God is mindful of our frailty!
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust. Psalm 103: 11-14
A VITAL ISSUE TO ADDRESS
An important issue to address is the problem of our transgression.
1. Transgression
a) This speaks of our breaking of God’s commandments
b) When His laws are broken, we are said to have transgressed!
2. The penalty of transgression
a) When we are guilty of transgression, we are liable for judgment
b) But God in His mercy can offer pardon for all our sins
A SPECIAL ATTRIBUTE OF GOD
One special attribute of God is His “mercy”.
1. His mercy is correctly described as “great”
2. This is especially so towards those who fear Him
WHAT GOD DOES WITH OUR SINS
We read of how graciously and mercifully God deals with our sins!
1. God removes our sins far away from us
2. This is a tremendous statement that should cause us to bless the name of God!
GOD’S RELATIONSHIP WITH US
Not only does God forgive us of our sins, we read that:
1. He is Father to all believers
a) He pities us
i) He sympathises with us
ii) He understands us
b) He knows our frame
i) He knows our frailty
ii) He knows our human mortality
Let us truly bless the Lord for the wonderful God that He is to us!
