"His number is 666"

Text: Revelation 13:18

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

The Beast of the Earth serves his master, the Beast of the Sea ardently. As much as God has sealed the 144,000, so the Beast of the Earth wants to mark those who worship the Image of the Beast of the Sea.

“He causes all, both small and great,
rich and poor, free and slave,
to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
and that no one may buy or sell
except one who has the mark or the name of the beast,
or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate
the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man:
His number is 666.”
Revelation 13:15-18

1. The worshippers of the Image of the Beast of the Sea.

a) They come from all walks of life.

i) The small and the great.

ii) The rich and the poor.

iii) The free and the slave.

b) The mark of the Beast of the Sea.

i) The mark is placed on the right hand.

ii) Or on the forehead.

c) The mark of the Beast.

i) The name of the Beast of the Sea.

iii) The number of the Beast.

2. The number of the Beast of the Sea.

a) John wrote that it would take wisdom to understand the number of the Beast.

b) He called it the number of Man.

c) The number of the Beast is 666.

3. Interpretation of 666.

a) Let there be no fear of this number.

b) Let not superstition reign either.

c) Man was created on the 6th Day.

d) The Beast will use this number in opposition and in defiance of God.
