“For the LORD is good…” Psalm 100:5a
WORSHIPPING GOD MEANINGFULLY
How may we always worship God most meaningfully? Let us ponder the following text prayerfully.
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5
1. “Enter into His gates”
a) Before we even begin to offer worship.
b) Our hearts and minds must be filled:-
i) With great thoughts of God
ii) As our Creator
iii) As our Lord
iv) As our Shepherd
2. “And into His courts”
a) The gates (exterior)
b) Courts (interior)
3. How shall we enter into God’s Presence?
a) With praise
b) With thanksgiving (songs)
c) With a thankful heart
d) With a desire and determination to bless the name of God
4. Reasons for such an approach to worship
Because of who God is! He is good. His mercy is indeed everlasting. And His truth endures to all generations!
