We know a number of things about David from the Scriptures.

1. He was a brave warrior when he was but a lad (1 Samuel 17).

2. He was anointed king over Israel (1 Samuel 16).

3. He was a gifted psalmist. Psalm 101 is just one of many psalms David wrote.
