MORE PRECIOUS PROMISES

Psalm 91 concludes on a series of promises from the Lord. These promises bring such warmth to the heart. It is good to read the following text as a whole.

“Because he has set his love upon Me,
Therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honour him.
With long life, I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
Psalm 91:14-16

MORE PRECIOUS PROMISES

1. We have a great list of precious promises of God:-

a) I will deliver him.

b) I will set him on high.

c) I will answer him.

d) I will be with him in trouble.

e) I will honour him.

f) I will satisfy him with long life.

g) I will show him My salvation.

2. These promises are hinged upon two things that must be fulfilled:-

a) Setting our love upon God

b) Knowing His name.

3. Challenges

a) There must be genuineness of heart.

b) There must be consistency in effort to grow a deep knowledge and love for God.

c) We must be prepared for the Lord to test the genuineness of our heart!
