Day 196 – Psalm 58

“Surely He is God who judges in the earth…” Psalm 58:11b

ANTICIPATING GOD’S JUDGMENT

King David expressed great confidence that his prayers would not be in vain. He anticipated joy in the day when God would avenge the righteous! He was sure that he would not be alone in his joy. All who are upright would rejoice when God upholds justice and brings an end to the activities of the wicked!

“The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance;
He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
So that men will say,
‘Surely there is a reward for the righteous;
Surely He is God who judges in the earth.'”
Psalm 58:10-11
