A PRAYER FOR REVIVAL
Text: Psalm 119:25-32

WHEN WE FEEL DOWN
There may be times when we may feel dispirited and downcast. This was an experience that the Psalmist candidly shared about.
25 My soul clings to the dust;
Revive me according to Your word.
26 I have declared my ways, and You answered me;
Teach me Your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts;
So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.
28 My soul melts from heaviness;
Strengthen me according to Your word. Psalm 119:25-28
- Sad feelings
a) When the soul seems to cling to the dust
b) When the soul melts from heaviness
c) These are not uncommon feelings
d) Feelings are sometimes the signals the soul sends
- The Psalmist attended to those dreary feelings
a) He declared his ways to God candidly
b) He confessed that he was weak and needed strength
- A prayer for Revival
a) The Psalmist went deeper
b) He was not just dealing with his feelings
c) He asked that God would give him a spiritual revival
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
He believed that God would revive him according to His word. He sought to understand things more deeply.
He would also devote time to meditate on the things that God would reveal to Him. This would be an appropriate response indeed!
