“The goodness of God endures continually.” Psalm 52:1

(II) CONTEMPLATING THE HARSH REALITIES OF LIFE

1. Contemplating the evil words of the mighty man

a) Destructive words ( Psalm 52:2 )

b) Deceitful words ( Psalm 52:2 )

c) Devouring words ( Psalm 52:4 )

2. Admission of being young and naïve.

“But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God…” Psalm 52:8

(III) CONTINUING IN HOLDING FAST TO GOD’S GOODNESS

“God will likewise destroy you forever.” Psalm 52:5

2. Continue to trust in God’s mercies

“I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.” Psalm 52:8

3. Continue to praise God

“I will praise You forever, because You have done it.” Psalm 52:9

4. Continue to wait on the Lord’s name

“And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good.” Psalm 52:9
