Psalm 80:17a "The man of Your right hand..."
Day 194 – Psalm 80
“The man of Your right hand…” Psalm 80:17a
GOD’S USUAL WAY OF WORKING
Asaph had studied the way God worked. He now applied this knowledge in prayer.
“Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand,
Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.”
Psalm 80:17
1. “Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand”

b) His hand would then be upon the man of His choice.
c) This chosen servant would be called “the man of Your right hand”.
i) This man would be anointed.
ii) He would be empowered.
iii) He would be equipped.
iv) He would lead God’s people effectively.
2. “Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself”
a) This chosen man of God would be made strong.
b) He would be God’s man of the hour.
c) He would be the man who would lead Israel back to God.
OUTSTANDING LEADERS OF ANCIENT ISRAEL
Asaph would of course not know whom God would raise up. But he knew that God in the past had raised up mighty leaders:-
1. Moses
He led Israel out of Egypt.
2. Joshua
He led Israel to conquer the land of Canaan.
3. David
He made Israel strong and safe.
Asaph pleaded earnestly with God to raise up a man of His own choice to lead Israel.
