Day 297 – Psalm 68

“Bless God in the congregations…” Psalm 68:26a

A CALL TO BLESS THE NAME OF GOD

The procession of the Ark of the Lord into Jerusalem was of great significance to David. However it would be wrong to think that this process had significance only to David and those who dwelt in Jerusalem. Hence David issued a call to all Israel to bless the name of God.

“Bless God in the congregations,
The Lord, from the fountain of Israel.
There is little Benjamin, their leader,
The princes of Judah and their company,
The princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.”
Psalm 68:26-27

i) The smallest tribe.
ii) Yet it could provide leadership.
b) Princes
i) Judah, Zebulun, Naphtali
