“I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly…” Psalm 38:6a

DEEPLY TROUBLED

David expressed how deeply sorrowful he felt as he was chastened by God. The actual circumstances in his life were not specifically described, only his feelings of distress.

“I am troubled, I am bowed down greatly;
I go mourning all the day long.
For my loins are full of inflammation,
And there is no soundness in my flesh.
I am feeble and severely broken;
I groan because of the turmoil of my heart.”
Psalm 38:6-8
