Day 299 – Psalm 37

“Depart from evil, and do good” Psalm 37:27a

A WORD OF EXHORTATION

This is a welcome word to all who walk uprightly. It is also a word of admonition to forsake the path of wickedness.

“Depart from evil, and do good;
And dwell forevermore.
For the LORD loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell in it forever.”
Psalm 37:27-29

CHOOSING RIGHTEOUSNESS

Davis was making a sincere appeal to the wicked especially. They would perish if they were to continue in their wicked ways. There was still hope to turn their lives around. Choosing righteousness would be the wisest decision ever made.
