“They looked to Him and were radiant…” Psalm 34:5a
A GREAT TESTIMONY
David had a great testimony to share. Sometimes people wonder if people like David belong to a special category of people. Some think that “servants of God” are special people who receive special favours from Him.
SIMILAR DYNAMIC TESTIMONIES
David would be the first to affirm that anyone can have dynamic experiences with God. He was not the only one who could testify of experiencing deliverance from the Lord. He cited two other testimonies which were just as special.
“They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.”
Psalm 34:5-6
1. “They looked to Him”
a) God will be found by all who seek Him sincerely.
b) Those who find the Lord will never be ashamed.
c) Radiance will be on their face as they see how the Lord blesses them.
2. “This poor man cried out”
a) God will attend to the cries of the poor person.
b) He will take the time to hear the prayers offered up.
c) He will also come to his rescue and deliver him out of his troubles.
A WONDERFUL TRUTH UNFOLDED
God has a myriad of angels who do His bidding. We may not see angels but the Scriptures teach us that they surround us and they protect us.
“The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.”
Psalm 34:7
Let us truly seek to magnify and exalt the Lord for His wonderful provision of angels who look after our well-being! Everyone who fears the Lord and who turns to Him for His mercy will also have a special testimony to share.
