“The word of the LORD is right…” Psalm 33:4a

A WORTHY THEME

What would be a worthy theme for the composition of a new song of praise? Surely the Person of the LORD Himself would be a most worthy theme to consider!

“For the word of the LORD is right,
And all His work is done in truth
He loves righteousness and justice;
The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.”
Psalm 33:4-5

The following thoughts reaffirm great truths about the Person of the LORD! These truths should create a great sense of rejoicing in the Lord, if not it should inspire the composition of a new song of praise!

1. “The word of the LORD is right”

a) The word of the Lord expresses a gracious way of communicating with His people.
b) Each and every word of the Lord is perfectly right.

2. “And all His work is done in truth”

a) Many are the works of the Lord
i) In creation
ii) In deliverance
b) Each and every work of the Lord is always done in truth.

3. “He loves righteousness and justice”

a) Righteousness is something the Lord loves especially.
b) Justice is also something that God holds close to His heart.

4. “The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD”

a) The goodness of the Lord is evidenced everywhere on earth.
b) There is no mistaking the fullness of the Lordâ??s goodness.
