“Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints!” Psalm 31:23
A WORD OF EXHORTATION
As David concluded the writing of Psalm 31, he felt that he wanted to give a word of exhortation to his readers, especially those who may be going through hard times in their life.
“Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints!
For the LORD preserves the faithful,
And fully repays the proud person.
Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the LORD.”
Psalm 31:23-24
1. Addressees
a) All God’s saints
b) All the faithful
c) All who hope in the LORD
2. Exhortation
a) To love the Lord
i) For who He is.
ii) For what He has promised to do.
iii) For what He has done.
b) To be of good courage.
c) To continue to be steadfast and strong.
d) To continue to hope in the Lord.
3. Above everything else, the Lord would do two things
a) He preserves the faithful.
b) He punishes the proud.
There is every reason to hold fast to the Lord at all times and in full trust!
