"The floods of ungodliness made me afraid..."
Day 129 – Psalm 18
“The floods of ungodliness made me afraid…” Psalm 18:4b
LIFE-THREATENING SITUATIONS
All of the Davidic psalms were somehow inspired by “experiences” in life. Some were good while others were intimidating. The following text is a reflection of a time when David felt deep fears.
“The pangs of death surrounded me,
And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him,
even to His ears.”
Psalm 18:4-5
