A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF “TRUST”

What does it mean to really trust in the Lord? This was David’s understanding.

“The LORD is in His holy temple,
The LORD’s throne is in heaven;
His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.”
Psalm 11:4

i) He is on His throne.
ii) His throne is in heaven, high above all other thrones.
iii) .He continues to be in absolute control.

a) God always has His own purposes.
b) He has His own plans that He will fulfil.
c) One of those plans are to be noted in this text:-
i) The eyes of the Lord beholds the earth.
ii) He watches the behaviour of the sons of men!

3. Trust involves Correct Response to the Lord

a) There must be trust in the Lord.
b) There must be trust that He watches over His saints.
c) There must not be that sense of despairing panic even when the wicked seems to have the upper hand!
