ENTERING INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD

The psalmist had in mind the tabernacle/temple when he wrote about coming before the presence of God.

“Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.”
Psalm 100:1-2

1. “Come before His presence with singing”

a) To enter into the House of the Lord is to come before His Divine presence.
b) Entering into the presence of God should naturally be done with joyous singing.

2. “Serve the LORD”

a) Serving the Lord is also another natural thing to desire and to do.
b) Serving the Lord must be done with great joy.

3. “Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands”

a) The psalmists imagine the whole earth (“all you lands”) worshipping the Lord.
b) Each and every worshipper is to come before God’s presence:-
i) With much joy
ii) With songs of praise
iii) With service in mind
