MEDITATION
Genesis 1:26-28
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Psalm 8:4-8
4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Mankind is made in the image of God (spiritually rather than physically).
2. The blessing of God is especially pronounced:
a. Man is given dominion.
b. Fruitfulness is part of God’s blessings.
c. These are awesome words to read and meditate upon.
3. May we reflect the glory of God’s image in our life!
4. May we ever be grateful for the Lord’s blessings!

《创世记 1：26-28》
26神说：“我们要照着我们的形象，按着我们的样式造人，使他们管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟、地上的牲畜和全地，并地上所爬的一切昆虫。”
27神就照着自己的形象造人，乃是照着他的形象，造男造女。28神就赐福给他们，又对他们说：“要生养众多，遍满地面，治理这地，也要管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上各样行动的活物。”
《诗篇 8：4-8》
4 便说：“人算什么，你竟顾念他？世人算什么，你竟眷顾他？
5 你叫他比天使微小一点，并赐他荣耀尊贵为冠冕。6-8 你派他管理你手所造的，使万物，就是一切的牛羊，田野的兽，空中的鸟，海里的鱼，凡经行海道的，都服在他的脚下。”
