MEDITATION
Exodus 32:9-10
9 And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!
10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. The wrath of God
a. This wrath is valid.
b. The sin of the children was unacceptable!
c. They had been complaining all this while.
2. The analysis of God about the children of Israel
a. They were “stiff-necked”.
i. Stubborn
ii. Rebellious
iii. Doubting God
iv. Questioning Him
v. Defying Him
b. God had shown them:
i. His power
ii. His provision
iii. His mercy
iv. His presence
c. They ended up worshipping a golden calf!
3. God’s word to Moses
a. He would consume the evil wrongdoers.
b. He would make Moses a great nation:
i. From the line of Moses.
ii. This was an astonishing offer.
