Text: Exodus 30: 1-6
MEDITATION
Exodus 30:1-6
1 “You shall make an altar to burn incense on; you shall make it of acacia wood.
2 A cubit shall be its length and a cubit its width—it shall be square—and two cubits shall be its height. Its horns shall be of one piece with it.
3 And you shall overlay its top, its sides all around, and its horns with pure gold; and you shall make for it a moulding of gold all around.
4 Two gold rings you shall make for it, under the moulding on both its sides. You shall place them on its two sides, and they will be holders for the poles with which to bear it.
5 You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
6 And you shall put it before the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.
MEANINGFUL APPLICATION TO LIFE
1. Making of the Altar of Incense
a. To be made of acacia wood.
b. To be square-shaped.
c. Horns to be made “as one piece”.
d. To be overlaid with pure gold.
e. Moulding of gold all around the altar of incense.
f. Golden rings under the mouldings for carrying purposes.
g. Poles of acacia wood were to be made for carrying the incense altar.
The poles would be overlaid with gold.
2. Placing of the Incense Altar
a. The altar will be placed just before the Veil.
b. The Veil separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.
i. Inside the Veil, in the Most Holy Place was the ark of the Testimony.
ii. Over the ark of the Testimony was the Mercy Seat.
3. The Most Holy Place
a. This was where God would meet with the High Priest.
b. This was a special privilege and blessing!
c. The Lord’s presence must be deeply treasured.

《出埃及记 30: 1-6》
1 “你要用皂荚木做一座烧香的坛。
2 这坛要四方的，长一肘，宽一肘，高二肘。坛的四角要与坛接连一块。
3 要用精金把坛的上面与坛的四围并坛的四角包裹，又要在坛的四围镶上金牙边。
4 要做两个金环安在牙子边以下，在坛的两旁两根横撑上，作为穿杠的用处，以便抬坛。
5 要用皂荚木做杠，用金包裹。6 要把坛放在法柜前的幔子外，对着法柜上的施恩座，就是我要与你相会的地方。
