"You are broken by the seas"

Text: Ezekiel 27:34

TYRE’S MIGHT

Tyre was a small city state but grew in might because of its maritime prowess. The people of Tyre (Phoenecians) were also skilled craftsmen and artisans. They were industrious and were famous for their ability to grow their commercial power.

“When your wares went out by sea,
You satisfied many people;
You enriched the kings of the earth
With your many luxury goods and your merchandise.
But you are broken by the seas in the depths of the waters;
Your merchandise and the entire company will fall in your midst.”
