"They will take up a lamentation"

Text: Ezekiel 27:32

LAMENTING THE RUIN OF TYRE

Many countries were trading partners of Tyre. The fall of Tyre was a great cause of grief to many nations. The fortunes of the different nations were directly related to the city of Tyre.

“They will shave themselves completely bald because of you,
Gird themselves with sackcloth,
And weep for you
With bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
In their wailing for you
They will take up a lamentation,
And lament for you:
‘What city is like Tyre,
Destroyed in the midst of the sea.'”
