CHALLENGES IN LIFE

The challenges David faced as a king were numerous. There were enemies of the state and there were also personal foes. How did he cope with such challenges?

19 Consider my enemies, for they are many;

And they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 Keep my soul, and deliver me;

Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.

21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,

For I wait for You.

22 Redeem Israel, O God,

Out of all their troubles!     Psalm 25:19-22

  1. Bringing everything to God in prayer

a) The enemies at hand

b) Their fierce hatred

  1. Praying over all things

a) Praying for deliverance

b) Praying for protection

c) Praying for redemption

  1. Manner of praying

a) This is of vital importance

b) Trust in the Lord must be exercised

c) Waiting upon God is also just as vital

A FURTHER STEP TO TAKE

  1. To practise integrity

      2. To cultivate righteousness

      3. These are the things that require our attention
