GATES IN BIBLICAL TIMES

Gates were used in ancient Biblical times for a number of purposes. The following may be highlighted.

2. They served as Entrance and Exit for city dwellers.

3. Some gates were not just functional they were beautiful.

AN IMAGERY OF GATES

We have an imagery of “gates” in the following text:-

“Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I will go through them, and I will praise the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD,
Through which the righteous shall enter.”

b) Everyone must pass through these gates.

2. “The gates of righteousness”
