TURN TO ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART
What God desires to see is a genuine heart;
This is what would set a person a part.
It is not ceremonies or even tradition;
The Lord values what is true contrition.
The Lord will respond to genuineness;
He is full of tender mercy and kindness.
He will never keep His anger forever;
If we repent, our sins He will not remember.
He is more than ready to leave a blessing;
He understands our needs for material things.
But let there be a genuine heart always;
The Lord will show that He is gracious.
Let there always be the rending of the heart;
God will see and He will not fail to do His part.
He has a heart of great love and compassion;
To all our needs, He will give full attention.
