THE LORD WILL ANSWER
The Call to Fast and Pray was heeded;
Many wept over sin, as they repented.
Their sins had led them to this distress;
Would the LORD really hear their prayers?
The LORD responded with deep pity;
He saw their plight and gave mercy.
He would respond with great zeal;
The weakened land, He would heal.
He would provide them needed grain;
He would give both former and latter rain.
The land would come alive with oil and wine;
The mercies and compassion of God are divine.
Let us exercise faith when we pray;
Let us not be upset if there is delay.
His people, He will surely redeem;
He will also cleanse them from sin!
