THE PROBLEM OF FAILURE

1. Failure is a sobering reality

2. Some will not even try

3. The challenge is to learn the needed lessons from having failed!

THE THINGS THAT STUMBLE MANY

1. The things that many desire as gain

a) Wealth
b) Fame
c) The things of the world

2. Paul faced similar temptations

a) A pedigreed background
b) Success in his life and career

3. Deep understanding of what really matters:

a) Spiritual things
b) Eternal things
c) Things related to the Lord Jesus Christ

PRINCIPLES OF SUCCESS IN BEING A WISE MASTER BUILDER
(Philippians 3:7-14)

1. The excellence of the knowledge of Christ (Philippians 3:8)

a) Not a shallow kind of knowledge
b) But a deep and profound knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ

2. To be found in Him

a) Not self-righteousness
b) But the righteousness of Christ through faith

3. In constant search for:

a) The power of His resurrection
b) The fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

4. Important consciousness

a) Not fully attained
b) Not perfected
c) Not fully apprehended

5. Ever reaching forward:

a) Pressing on
b) Forgetting the things behind
c) Reaching forward to those things which are ahead
d) Pressing toward the goal of the prized of the upward call of God
