i) To have the tongue of the learned     Isaiah 50:4

ii) To be able to speak a word in season to him who is weary

e) Glimpse of the training in the life of the Lord Jesus Christ

ii) Daily prayer       Mark 1:35

3. The Pupil

a) I was not rebellious      Isaiah 50:5

b) I did not turn away

c) I gave My back to those who struck Me      Isaiah 50:6a

d) My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard      Isaiah 50:6b

e) I did not hide My face from shame and spitting       Isaiah 50:6c

f) I will not be disgraced      Isaiah 50:7b

g) I have set My face like a flint       Isaiah 50:7c

h) I know that I will not be ashamed       Isaiah 50:7d

4. Great assurance

a) The LORD God will help Me        Isaiah 50:7a

b) He is near who justifies Me        Isaiah 50:8a

BIBLE MEMORY

The LORD God has given Me the tongue of the learned,

That I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary.

He awakens me morning by morning,

He awakens My ear to hear as the learned.
