PRAYER AND PRINCIPLES OF LIFE GO TOGETHER (Psalm 16)
1. Establishing prayer as part of life
2. Practising prayer and the principles of life with the same intensity
3. Having maturity to see the need for both as we go through life
THE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE THAT REALLY MATTER
1. With reference to the Lord and us (Psalm 16:2)
2. With reference to God’s people (Psalm 16:2)
3. With reference to other gods (Psalm 16:4)
4. With reference to money and wealth (Psalm 16:5)
5. With reference to counsel (Psalm 16:7)
6. With reference to eternity (Psalm 16:10-11)
PRINCIPLES OF LIFE STILL NEED TO BE PRAYED OVER
1. These principles of life cannot be achieved without prayer
2. There is a prayer angle to the principles of life
3. Principles of life are not a substitute for prayer
THE BLESSINGS OF BALANCING PRAYER WITH PRINCIPLES OF LIFE
1. Steadfastness (Psalm 16:7)
2. Gladness (Psalm 16:9)
3. Hopefulness (Psalm 16:9)
