TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES

(I) THE WICKED WHO DO NOT TRUST GOD

1. They could be men of low degree

2. They could be men of high degree

3. The activities of these wicked men

a) They attack people ( Psalm 62:3 )

b) They delight in cursing people ( Psalm 62:4 )

c) They trust in oppression ( Psalm 62:10 )

d) They hope to get rich by any means (including robbery) ( Psalm 62:10 )

(II) THE RIGHTEOUS WHO TRUST GOD

1. They silently wait upon God (Psalm 62:1, 5)

2. They trust in God

a) As Rock ( Psalm 62:2a, 6a )

b) As Saviour ( Psalm 62:2b, 6b, 7a )

c) As Defender ( Psalm 62:2b, 6c )

d) As Giver of glory ( Psalm 62:7b )

e) As Refuge ( Psalm 62:7c, 8c )

(III) A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE RIGHTEOUS

1. To continue to wait on the Lord (Psalm 62:1a, 5a)

2. To hope in the Lord with great expectation (Psalm 62:5b)

3. To remain unmoved (Psalm 62:2c, 6c)

4. To trust in the Lord (Psalm 62:8a)

5. To pour out the heart to the Lord (Psalm 62:8b)

6. To hear the word of the Lord most carefully (Psalm 62:11b)

7. To trust in the Lord

a) In His power (Psalm 62:11c)

b) In His mercy (Psalm 62:12a)

c) In His justice (Psalm 62:12b)
