2. The challenge to write new songs of praise

3. The challenge to keep learning how to sing new songs to God

(II) INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHTS TO SING NEW SONGS

1. He has done marvellous things (Psalm 98:1b)

2. He has gained great victory (Psalm 98:1c)

3. He has made known His salvation (Psalm 98:2a, 3b)

4. He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations (Psalm 98:2b)

5. He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to Israel (Psalm 98:3a)

(III) WORSHIPPING GOD

1. Shout joyfully (Psalm 98:4a)

2. Spontaneous rejoicing (Psalm 98:4b)

3. Use musical instruments (Psalm 98:5-6)

a) The harp

b) Trumpets

c) The horn

4. Exhortation to all to worship God

a) All who dwell on the earth ( Psalm 98:4a, 7b )

b) The sea and all its fullness ( Psalm 98:7a )
