A CORRECT BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE

What is our personal perspective of God? Many struggle with their perspective of the Lord. We have a good Biblical description of God in this text.

4 The LORD is high above all nations,

His glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like the LORD our God,

Who dwells on high,

6 Who humbles Himself to behold

The things that are in the heavens and in the earth? Psalm 113:4-6

The mighty nations of the world

a) There are not too many mighty nations in the world

b) These nations boast of:

i) Economic wealth

ii) Military might

iii) Ancient cultures

God in comparison

a) He is high above all nations!

b) All the mighty nations put together cannot be compared to God

c) His glory is higher than the heavens

d) The majesty of God cannot be disputed

When God looks at the world

a) God has to humble Himself to look at the heavens

b) Imagine what He has to do to look at the affairs on earth!

OUR CHALLENGE

To appreciate God afresh

Let us ponder His majesty and glory!

May we learn to fear the Lord!
