Text: Psalm 105

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

It was the Lord Jesus Christ who urged people to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). This word of advice is excellent, but its application is often limited to seeking salvation. The seeking of God stops soon after.

BEYOND ENTRANCE INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD

What may we seek after, beyond the kingdom of God? Let us ponder the advice of the Psalmist.

Seek the LORD and His strength;

Seek His face evermore!

Remember His marvelous works which He has done,

His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,

6 O seed of Abraham His servant,

You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!     Psalm 105:4-6

  1. What we may seek

a) The strength of the Lord

b) The face of God

c) The seeking of the Lord is “evermore”

  1. How should we seek the Lord?

a) Let us remember what God has said
