ALL THAT THE FATHER GIVES ME

VITAL TRUTHS ABOUT GOD THE FATHER
The Lord Jesus taught vital truths about the role of God the Father with reference to salvation. How blessed we are to know these truths!
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:35-40
- The Father is the One who brings people to the Lord Jesus
a) This work is invisible
b) But this work is vital
- Those who come to the Lord Jesus
a) In faith
b) To receive salvation
c) It is the Father who draws them to the Saviour
PRECIOUS PROMISES OF THE LORD JESUS
What happens when a person is led by the Father to the Lord Jesus for salvation?
- The believer will never hunger and thirst spiritually
- He will never be cast out by the Saviour
- When the believer dies, the Lord will raise him up on Resurrection Day (“the last day”)
THANK GOD FOR HIS SALVATION
Let us thank God for the salvation that He gives to us through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!
- We have a new life
- This life is everlasting
- This life is wonderfully blessed by God
- There is the hope of the resurrection
