CALLED OUT OF DARKNESS
Text: 1 Peter 2:9-10

THE CALL OF GOD
The Call of God was not only taught by the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Peter also preached about the Call of God.
But you are a chosen generation,
A royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people,
That you may proclaim the praises of Him
Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;
Who once were not a people but are now the people of God,
Who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy 1 Peter 2:9-10
AMAZING ASPECTS OF THE CALL OF GOD
We have really astonishing features that must draw our attention:
- A chosen generation
a) How wonderful to be part of this generation
b) This must be treasured
- A royal priesthood
a) A priesthood
i) Better than that of the Levites
ii) Better than that of the Aaronic priestly line
b) Royal
i) Because of the Lord Jesus Christ as King
ii) Because we are called “brethren” of the King
c) A holy nation
i) A world-wide consideration
ii) We are large enough to be called a nation; a holy nation
d) His own special people
i) This is how God regards us
ii) He sees us as His people… His special people!
WALKING WORTHY
Let us seek enlightenment. Let us seek to walk in the Light. No more must we walk as we did in the past, in great darkness!
