REMEMBER… YOU ARE MY SERVANT!

THE EXAMPLE OF THE MESSIAH
The prophet Isaiah prophesied much about the Messiah. He would show Israel how to be a good and faithful servant. It is more than possible to be a good servant of the Lord!
A SPECIAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Isaiah wrote a special word to encourage Israel to be faithful servants of the Lord!
- Chosen to be servants
a) I have chosen Isaiah 44:1
b) Made and formed Isaiah 44:2
- God will assist in every way possible
a) God’s promise of help Isaiah 44:2
b) He will give His Spirit Isaiah 44:3
c) He will bestow blessing Isaiah 44:3
- Called to be witnesses
a) This is not a difficult task
b) The witness merely declares what he has seen Isaiah 44:8
ADDITIONAL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Israel had failed to be faithful servants of the Lord. It had turned to idolatry instead. It had also chosen to walk in unrighteous ways! To the sinful nation the Lord gave an additional word of comfort and encouragement.
- A Call to Remember
a) The Lord as the Redeemer Isaiah 44:6
b) That there is no other God Isaiah 44:6
c) That He is indeed The First and the Last Isaiah 44:6
- A promise of forgiveness
a) All transgressions will be blotted out like a thick cloud Isaiah 44:22
b) All sins will be covered by a cloud and will not be remembered Isaiah 44:22
- A plea to return to the Lord
a) God can redeem
b) He can reinstate
c) He can renew
d) He can re-vitalise
APPROPRIATE RESPONSE
Let us take time to ponder these precious words of encouragement. Let us humble ourselves and return to the Lord as our Redeemer! Let us serve the Lord as His faithful servants!
