FAMILY CAMP COMMENCES TODAY
Let us look forward to a great time of learning at the Family Camp which commences today. Let us pray for the Lord’s blessings to be graciously bestowed upon all attending the Camp.
GOING FORWARD- THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR FAITH
Let us look at some of the things that we may look forward to at the Camp. The apostle Paul’s words are most apt.
If indeed you continue in the faith,
Grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away
From the hope of the gospel which you heard.Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man
In all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect
In Christ Jesus. To this end I also labour, striving according to His working
Which works in me mightily. Colossians 1:23, 28-29
1. Vital challenges
a) To continue in the faith
b) To be grounded
c) To be steadfast in the faith
2. Content of our faith
a) The Lord Jesus Christ
b) All that He has said and done
3. Commitment of all teaching/ preaching the gospel
a) To present everyone perfect (that is “mature”) in Christ
b) To do this through preaching/teaching and warning (admonition)
LABOURING FOR THE LORD
Camp ministry is indeed laborious work. But it is a work that we know is worth every effort put in.
1. Labouring
a) This is expected
b) Personal effort must be put in
2. According to His working in us
a) We do not labour by our own effort
b) The Spirit of God Himself moves us to work hard
c) Our efforts at laboring is strongly motivated by the Lord Himself
SEEKING FURTHER GROWTH
Let us seek to grow further in our knowledge of our faith in the Lord at the Family Camp. Let us seek Him in prayer humbly and diligently.
