Revelation

Day 58

"Who are these arrayed in white robes?"

Text: Revelation 7:13

A QUESTION POSED

After the worship scene was over, one of the elders spoke to John. He asked a pointed question. Who were the people who sang and worshipped God and the Lamb? Did John know who they were?

“Then one of the elders answered, saying to me,
‘Who are these arrayed in white robes,
and where did they come from?’
And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’
So he said to me, ‘These are the ones
who come out of the great tribulation,
and washed their robes and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb.'”
Revelation 7:13-14

ii) Their righteousness was imputed to them through faith in the Lord.

iii) They had been made white in the blood of the Lamb.

4. Recalling the classic test about imputed righteousness written by the Apostle Paul.

“But to him who does not work but believes on Him who
justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to
whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
‘Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.'”
Romans 4:5-7

a) Faith in the Lord is accounted for righteousness.

b) God imputes righteousness apart from works.

c) Sins are covered and forgiven.

d) The righteousness of the myriads is not because they suffered in the Great Tribulation.

e) They are righteous because of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
