"Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah"

Text: Revelation 5:5

RESPONSE OF THE APOSTLE JOHN

John saw the divine scroll that contained great divine truths. The Lord would not write on trivial subjects. But as he waited with bated breath for someone to respond, there was silence. No one made a move to consider opening the scroll.

“So I wept much, because no one was found worthy
to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
But one of the elders said to me,
‘Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,
has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.'”
Revelation 5:4-5

c) He has prevailed.

i) He has the authority and power to open the scroll.

ii) He has the right to loose its seven seals.

iii) Whatever criteria existed had been met by the Lion of Judah to earn the right to open the scrolls.
