"The Lamb's Book of Life"

Text: Revelation 21:27

THE GLORIOUS KINGDOM OF GOD

The Lord Jesus came from Heaven to reach people with the Gospel of salvation. His life, His teachings and His miracles help many come to faith in Him as the Messiah, the Christ of God! How glorious it is to read about the Heaven that we will enter into one day.

“Its gates shall not be shut at all by day
(there shall be no night there).
And they shall bring the glory
and the honour of the nations into it.
But there shall by no means enter it
anything that defiles,
or causes an abomination or a lie,
but only those who are written
in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
Revelation 21:25-27

1. The Gates of Heaven.

a) Each gate is made from one Pearl.

b) There will be 12 Gates.

c) These Gates shall remain open all the time.

d) They need not be shut at night simply because there is no night there.

2. The nations of the world.

a) Those who have come to faith will be able to enter through the Pearly Gates of Heaven.

b) They will bring into Heaven their glory and their honour.

3. Who will be barred from Heaven?

a) Anything that defiles.

b) Anything that causes an abomination.

c) Anything that is false like a lie.

d) Obviously, the unrepentant wicked would not gain entrance into heaven.

4. The Lamb’s Book of Life.

a) The Lord promised that those who receive Him would have eternal life
(John 1:12; 5:24).

b) True believers would have their names written down in the Book of Life.

c) They would not lose their place in heaven!

d) May there be assuring joy in our heart as we read this great truth!
