“For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work…” Psalm 92:4a

GLADNESS OF HEART

How do we approach our Sabbath day? Do we include worship? Do we approach Sabbath day worship with gladness of heart?

“For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work;
I will triumph in the works of Your hands.”
Psalm 92:4

1. “Your work”

a) The psalmist took time to reflect on God’s work in his life.
b) What he saw brought great gladness of heart.

2. “I will triumph in the works of Your hands”

a) The psalmist could not but acknowledge God’s work in his life.
b) A great sense of triumph began to well up in his heart.
c) God was doing a special work in his life that would lead to great triumph!

WHAT IS GOD’S WORK IN OUR LIFE?

Let us ponder this prophetic text written by Isaiah. This text speaks of God’s work.

“Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham,
Concerning the house of Jacob:
‘Jacob shall not now be ashamed,
Nor shall his face now grow pale;
But when he sees his children,
The work of My hands, in his midst,
They will hallow My name,
And hallow the Holy One of Jacob,
And fear the God of Israel.'”
Isaiah 29:22-23

1. Let us look at the great work of redemption God is doing

a) In our life.
b) In the lives of our children.

2. Let us ponder the following appropriate responses

a) Let us hallow the Lord’s name and fear Him.
b) Let us be filled with gladness of heart that God works in our life.
