Day 361 – Psalm 89

“How long, LORD?” Psalm 89:46a

THE BLAME LAY ELSEWHERE!

Many allegations were made! Ethan expressed how he felt from deep within his heart. But even as he raised up the sorry plight of Judah before God, he knew that the blame was to be found elsewhere! God was not to be blamed! If great calamities befell the nation, the people had only themselves to blame!

A PLAINTIVE CRY

Ethan then began to take different tack! He had learned that God was always righteous in His judgment! He must now learn to intercede for the nation, instead of making wild allegations against God.

“How long, LORD?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your wrath burn like fire?”
