Day 329 – Psalm 89

“The foundation of Your throne…” Psalm 89:14a

MEDITATION ON THE POWER OF GOD

Ethan the psalmist shared his meditation on the might and power of God (Psalm 89:6-13). He did well to dwell on the might of God. It blesses the heart in many ways. It brings great confidence to the heart. Trust in God becomes even deeper when one dwells on the majesty of God and His power.

THE FOUNDATION OF GOD’S THRONE

But what was the foundation of God’s throne? Does He only rule with His power? Ethan balanced the thought of God’s power with another great truth.

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
Mercy and truth go before Your face.”
Psalm 89:14

4. “Truth”
