“Blessed is the man who trusts in You!” Psalm 84:12b
THREE WONDERFUL BLESSINGS
Who would not like to be greatly blessed by God? It is natural to desire to be wonderfully blessed. Let us examine the pronouncement of three blessings in Psalm 84.
“Blessed are those who dwell in Your house.”
Psalm 84:4a
“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You.”
Psalm 84:5a
“Blessed is the man who trusts in You!”
Psalm 84:12b
APPRECIATING THESE BLESSINGS
Let us take time to ponder these blessings afresh:-
1. Blessings associated with God’s house
a) God will indeed bless those who love His house.
b) Those who “dwell” there would be wonderfully blessed.
c) The word “dwell” is associated with service given to the Lord in His house.
2. Blessings associated with strength found in God
a) Great strength is to be found in God.
b) It is available to anyone who seeks that strength for life and ministry.
c) God will give strength upon strength.
3. Blessings associated with trusting in God
a) Blessings are bestowed on all who have learned to trust God.
b) Trust in God is a dynamic thing.
c) It is never static.
d) Trust in God expresses itself in the following ways:-
i) The heart desires to appear before God in worship and prayer.
ii) The believer is willing to trust God in all circumstances in life.
iii) He believes that God is his sun and shield and that He will give grace and glory.
