“My soul shall make its boast in the LORD…” Psalm 34:2a
THE LESSONS OF LIFE
We learn many lessons in life. These lessons were ever meant for personal self-learning. But they were also meant to bless the lives of others.
“I will bless the LORD at all times,
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make its boast in the LORD;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.”
Psalm 34:1-2
1. LESSONS FOR SELF
a) Precious lessons of the Lord are learned (historical).
i) His protection
ii) His presence
b) Praise to the Lord
i) Lessons of God should cause one to bless Him at all times.
ii) Praise of the Lord should always be upon our lips.
iii) Praise of the Lord may even be compared to “boasting”.
iv) The word “boasting” does not need to be seen in a bad light.
v) It simply describes how the psalmist felt in his soul about the Lord.
vi) He exults in his knowledge and experience with God.
2. LESSONS FOR OTHERS
a) Who would benefit from personal life lessons?
i) Close friends
ii) Family
b) Those who are humble of heart.
These are eager to learn at all times.
