PRAYER FOR HELP

A special prayer for help from God was breathed out.

“But You, O LORD, do not be far from Me;
O My Strength, hasten to help Me!
Deliver Me from the sword,
My precious life from the power of the dog.
Save Me from the lion’s mouth
And from the horns of the wild oxen!
You have answered Me.”
Psalm 22:19-21

This text may be seen as a summary of the prayer requests offered up (throughout the psalm).

1. Note the following elements mentioned

a) Do not be far from Me (Psalm 22:1b; 11)
b) Strength (Psalm 22:22)
c) Dog, oxen {bulls”} and lion (Psalm 22:12, 13, 16)
d) Deliverance (Psalm 22:4)

2. “You have answered Me”

An amazing application of trust is to be noted here! God honours trust in Him!
